4meonly 4 Posted March 24, 2008 What's the difference between tunescent liposuction and regular Lipo? Cheryl
Tamjpjb 1 Posted March 29, 2008 I had tumlescent Lipo about 2 years ago. Not exactly sure if it's accurate or not, but I was told the difference is that the tumlescent solution is distributed within the fat and helps to "break it down". This makes it easier to remove and is taken out more evenly than traditional lipo. Traditional lipo sometimes tends to leave dimpling. I know that with mine, they also mixed an anesthetic into the tumlescent Fluid to assist with pain and make my recovery easier.
kareyquilts 1 Posted March 29, 2008 I agree with Tami. I just had tumescent Lipo a month ago. My doc did put in some lidocaine with everything else and it did help with the pain. Everything looks pretty smooth and my doc was able to take 3 pounds of fat off my flanks. It's still a little painful, but well worth it.
