losingjusme 12 Posted March 24, 2008 its a good start. maybe after you lose more, you'll want to do more. also - as you start really losing weight, you'll need to ramp it up more to lose the same amount of weight.
Michee 2 Posted March 24, 2008 I agree with losingjusme. Walking 30-40 minutes is a good start, during the first 6 weeks post op you are still healing, after that you will want to ramp up your exercise.
slimmy120 2 Posted March 25, 2008 Will look at uping excercise from 30 to 40 minutes a day upwards. Am going to look into other excercises dancing, etc. too,
TexasBecky 1 Posted March 25, 2008 I say the most important thing is to find something that you enjoy and will do. 30 minutes of exercise per day is enough to gain real improvements in your overall health. If you really want to ramp up your weight loss then ramp up the exercise to 60-90 minutes at least five days per day. Studies show that people who regularly exercise in that range lose much faster and do not regain. Whatever you do, make it a lifetime commitment. Good luck!
