cpruneda 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Hello, I was banded approx. one year ago. The most common problem that I have is a clear liquid that I PBing occasionally, especially when I have not eaten. When I do finally eat I can only take a bite and then I must PBing a clear liquid that must clear my system before I can eat comfortably. Is this a problem for anyone else ? What can I do to control it? Is this something I should be really concerned with? ( I am afraid this may cause a problem w/ my esophagus) Please help and advice is appreciated. bullpen87 2 Posted March 23, 2008 It may be acid. During my band surgery, my doc repaired a hiatal hernia that earlier hadn't shown up on the preop tests given to me. I personally had that symptom that you speak of before he repaired it. I'm totally guessing but I would definitely talk to my doc about it. It may not have anything to do with your band specifically. Good luck to you and God bless...
juliegeraci 7 Posted March 27, 2008 It is not good to PB only on liquids. If you were to take in soft foods and do okay then its up to you to stay at that rate. Given the fact that you PB on liquids I think it would command a slight unfill. Be careful not to have a slip.
