teebutterfly 0 Posted March 22, 2008 Hey ya'll, I feel like I'm bombarding with questions, just trying to make sure my experiene is normal. 5 days post op now and moving around much better. Should I be able to feel my port? I know where the port incision is, but have been pressing around there - probably more than I should and haven't felt any port yet. Is that normal, or is it just still swelling, etc? tee
HeatherO 7 Posted March 22, 2008 I think it is still swelling that prevents you from feeling it. I was able to feel it much more a few weeks out. Now it is easy to locate.
jst4kel 1 Posted March 22, 2008 I am eight weeks post op, had my first fill last week, and still can't feel my port and I know exactly where it is cause I saw the needle in my stomach!
LiseSeattle 0 Posted March 23, 2008 at 5 days my stomach was too swollen and bloated from surgery - took me about 2 weeks from surgery to be able to feel my port...and I have to really push down on the stomach to feel it. try laying down and lifting your legs up - that's what my doc said to do and it helps to "lift" the port and makes it easier to feel.
