I have BCBS and they made me have a pysch eval...I would call each plan is different!!

On another note....I went to the doc last week and kinda wanted to get an unfill but he talked me out of it....so he started me on daily medication for the mild reflux probs that arose again and hes going to see me back the first week in july...well I had been doing great..able to eat a little and no throwing up until friday every since friday its like I cant stop getting sick....Friday I got sick with dinner like 3 times, saturday I ate a few bites for lunch ok but then dinner I got sicks like 3 times again....Im afraid to eat today........I was so upset friday night I told my husband I wanted this stupid band out.....he only put .2cc in for my last fill and talked like he couldnt go any lower than that.....so I guess in july I am having the .2cc taken back out.....hopefully I wont gain again!

Well, Thanks for listening!

I am just wondering as I read your postings how much energy you guys have now compared to before surgery. Also, when you say you aren't able to eat, are you still having Protein Shakes?

Kaninag and Jason...I'm so glad you had this conversation. It's nice to know that the life with the band is a love/hate relationship. I'm having some of those same feelings. I don't eat much any more which is great but I'm finding that I'm continuously having to fight old habits and try to change them. I'm doing well and making good choices but it's still hard. I'm learning to pack a small lunchbox to take Snacks to class since there is nothing in the vending machines that I even want to look at. This also seems to help with the urge to stop at Taco Bell and order a sack of tacos. Old habits do die hard don't they?

On a different note, I'm having a lot of gas still. Painful gas that wakes me up about 4:00 every morning. I'm trying to decide if it was something I ate, if I didn't chew my food well enough, or if I ate too fast. I guess it'll take awhile to learn my new stomach.

To be honest my energy level up until about January of this year was the pits...I was sleeping all the time and just felt soooo very tired. I had everything looked at, I was getting my Protein but I was still just so tired...I guess my body was adjusting I dont really know but then after then I have felt GREAT....my doc gave me B12 injects to help even though my b12 level was fine and I increased my Vitamins and I feel better much better now that I did before the surgery.

debbut, old habbits are very hard to break. im 9 months out and i still have problems with old habbits. im sure i will always have them to worry about. i mean for 32 years i done nothing but eat what i wanted to and now im down to eatting what i need to. so dont worry your not the only one having the problems like that.

and on the gas. some people have gas problems for a little time out from surgery. so dont worry to much about it. if it stays that way just ask your doctor next time your in the office.

ok everyone. veronica emailed me and told me she still haven't heard anything from the doctors. but is still trying to see if they would like to help out. she is also working with thr fittness center there to see about having a class.

she asked me about have the group doing a walk around the hospital before or after the meetings once a month to boost everyone up some. let me know what ya'll think about it and i will email her back.

My energy is WAY up from a year ago. I actually hate to just sit around. I am also loving not dying from the heat. It is sooo weird, I just don't get hot. I used to sweat something awful. I would break a sweat putting on my makeup in the morning and would dread even moving knowing that I would be soooo hot. Now I see why skinny people like the summer...LOL! I actually want to get outside and do things! Sucks for my husband though, he is always burning up cuz I am always cold!

I think the walk around the hospital would be great. Just to get our motors going. I hate to say that I will miss this month's meeting too. We will be at a little league tournament in Albertville. But at least I am missing it for a good reason!

Debbut - I had shoulder/gas pain for about 4 months after surgery. It was tolerable, but annoying. It did eventually ease up and go away.

Hope everyone is well.

=)

Been reading everybody's posts on and here and we all get frustrated at the band from time to time.

but everyone on here has done a wonderful job.

I was at work today and i realized how easy it was for me to work off of a ladder.

You know people who has never had a weight problem takes some of the simplest things for granted. It's nice when people start noticing how much i've lost.

Got my second fill Thursday and have lost 8 pounds since then.

Down to 265.

I wouldn't take nothing for this band. But it is frustrating when i want to eat and can't eat as much as i would like too. But i know i can't have it both ways and loose.

Anyway everybody keep up the good work!!!!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
      Alternative Sweeteners Market Report Segmentation:

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
Furthermore, advancements in production techniques are making some alternative sweeteners more cost-competitive than traditional sugar. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of traditional sugar production and preferring more sustainable alternative sweeteners.
