My doctor is hoping for 4/24 for me as well. That is only if insurance comes through in time  We will see.

Congrats on your date though! Some people take their band date on as their Bday... Now you get to do both :)

Wow, Blund, I can think of NO BETTER way to Celebrate your 44th birthday than to start your new life!!!

My suggestion to you is that if you Celebrate with cake, dinner out, etc, be sure to get an early celebration in--by April 10th I would say, so plan on that. Once you start preparation for surgery, you're on your way and shouldn't look back........!!!

Congrats on your date!

I start my pre-op diet on April 10th, which is my Mom's birthday! Kind of appropriate in a warped sort of way!

Ok...should I ask Blund...do you blame your Mom for the weight...her B-day and all? Or did I miss something??? VERY POSSIBLE of me to miss it...LOL

Good Luck...I feel like it will be forever until May 28th...I bet you feel the same too!

My Mom. Well its really too much to explain. Lets just say we've had our difficulties. And the fact that she was a librarian for many years may shed some light!! The weight isn't her fault, but she does admit to teaching us kids to overeat. Of course we were sticks back then. She doesn't know about the surgery. I've only told my DH and 1 friend. Not sure how she'd react. Probably critically as usual.

It does seem like forever, but its better than the waiting for this and that as in the last several months. At least there is an end in sight. We're taking a trip over spring break, so that will help the time pass. I'm really getting excited too!

Good Luck.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.

I'm so sorry. I lost my pup (Mr. Bitters - a chocolate Pomeranian) 2 years ago and it still makes me tear up. He was my everything - my constant companion. I understand. Do the best you can to get back on track.
