I am 28 lbs from goal, 8 lbs from plastic surgery. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 16. 16 was my original goal but now I'm thinking 14!

Julie! That is FANTASTIC!!! I can't believe you are so close to your goal. How inspiring!!! And, what a joy to be in 16s!! I started out a 34 and just bought my first skirt in a 16, but other 16s are still too tight and my 18s are getting pretty loose...I'm CLOSE! I have a lot of lbs left to lose, tho! UNLIKE YOU!!! NICE!:thumbup:

I bought two pairs of pants yesterday from old navy in a 16. I figured, they were on sale, and I would work my way into them someday. I bought the pants home, and when my mom saw them, she said they were cute and I should try them on..... and they actually buttoned up! I am no where near wearing a 16 out in public, but I can definitely say, that it feels good. Congratulations on you being a 16.... you're an inspiration, since I also was a 24 at the start of my own journey!

Congrats! I too know it feels great. I'm wearing 16's and some 14's after starting at a 22. It's wonderful! Congrats and keep up the good work. Before you know it you will be seeing an 8!

Congrats!! I just got my first 16's as well. It was so exciting to leave the plus sized dept for the misses.

I've seen severl on here that went lower than their goal. You're already at goal, so keep on truckin. I hope to do the same!

Great for you julie! I am so happy for you!

Keep up the hard work, and just think - if you are already at your goal of size 16 now, you are going to blow past it without a second though with your surgery.

Woohoo!!

I just love shopping now...I just bought a size 12 dress...yes...I said it...a 12...I think I was in the 9th grade the last time that I wore a size 12. Keep up the great work!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
