Plastic Surgery Poll

Recommended Posts

K....Question....I am doing my 6 months medically supervised weight loss right now and plan to be banded around the beginning of September sometime. I am 26 years old and have about 125 lbs to lose. I hold my weight pretty well over all my body, kind of have a tummy, some arm flab, the usual somewhat ravaged body from being overweight, but i still have an hourglass figure and got lucky that I never looked my weight. Was wondering if those of you who are further along in your journey and close to my same stats find that you will need tt/lipo/lifts/nips/tucks after you hit your goal. I know it differs from person to person, i know they say its more likely that your skin will shrink back if you are younger and you carry your weight all over, but is this a complete lie? Curious to know what you all have experienced. Thanks!

Considering your age and amount of weight to lose, if you stomach doesn't already have a pannus (flap) then you may not end up wanting Plastic Surgery. There are no guarantees ofcourse but what you describe does sound promising.

One other factor, are you fair skinned or a red-head. People who are (like me) tend to have skin that doesn't bounce back as well.

I am around 20lbs from goal and I am pretty sure I am going to need some PS. I think in the next year or so I will get a Tummy Tuck and arm tuck and maybe breast augmentation. It all depends on the money and if I can come up with it. It sucks to have worked this hard and still not be happy with your body.

Well...you look wonderful. I understand though that when you look at yourself, especially naked, in front of a mirror, it is hard not to see the flaws. I guess I will just take it one day at a time and see if i need PS in the end. Maybe ill get lucky! Hah!

I had some guy at work tell me his wife was told that skin removal is almost always covered by ins. because it can be really hard on you to carry the skin? I had always heard the oposite that it's almost never covered. Anyone know for sure?

I'm 29 and I've lost over 100 pounds and I got out of my obesity fairly lucky all things considered. I would love to have plastic surgery, but after recently getting a $20,000 quote for a body lift (which aside from a breast lift is pretty much all I'd get done), the idea of getting it done has gone on hold (I don't have the money). I have jiggly bits (stomach mostly, but thighs and arms are a little looser than I'd prefer) and a bit of loose skin around my hips and stomach. Nothing I can't live with (I just have to keep telling myself that). I know I'd look really great if I got plastic surgery, but I'm going to have to be happy looking "good" instead. There are a few different sets of photos of me on my blog link below if you want to see what I'm talking about.

I am definitely going to get a tt and breast lift. I think I'll wait to have kids then get it all done so I won't have to go through the pain of the PS twice. Plus who has the money to just waste like that. I cannot wait to get PS. Have you guys seen nurseamy? OMG I can only dream about looking that good once I am done.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
