peek 1 Posted March 19, 2008 There's not much pain afterwards, more like a little discomfort. It is well worth it believe me. Luscious I was originally scheduled for banding on 7 April too; that date was set back at the start of Feb. I thought I would die waiting that long! I was lucky enough for the nurse to realise how 'desperately' I wanted it, she called me and bought the date forward to 22/2! April 10 is my first fill day so I will be thinking of you recovering! Mojo are you doing Opitfast? If so have you started yet? Good luck ladies/lads.
Chickie 15 Posted March 19, 2008 Peek's right. It's more uncomfortable than painful (well, it was for me anyway!) Best wishes for your surgery!
mojo479 0 Posted March 23, 2008 HI Luscious No I am not on Optifast, over here we do ot do that for some reason. Maybe as I am only 35 kg over weight I am not sure if I should have done it or not. I was not told to, Here in Aus we do othave t wait long before e go for the op, I could have gone 2 weeks after my first consult. But had to wait until my husband booked the time off. nat36 2 Posted March 24, 2008 Hi Mojo, to add to the chorus its not really painful at all. My sister wanted to see how I coped before considering it for herself I called her today and told her to not waste any more time thinking and book it, for every day thinking is a day you are not losing weight and reaching your goal. mojo479 0 Posted March 24, 2008 HI Nat and all others giving me support. I can't wait until next Monday its all down hill from now. My starting weight is 94kg, I want to get down to 60 kg, I went out for my final big meal yesterday with my husbnad and kids, as he does FIFO, I wont see him again now until the day after the op when he picks me up. I know I will be nervous and restless on Sunday night. Any suggestion on what to wear when I go home, Im thinking of loose fitting clothing???
