newday6 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Hey banders out there, I need your support. I got banded 1/12/07, and in the 14 months since I've lost 86 lbs. I know it doesn't seem like I'm on track with where I should be after over a year, but I'm ok with it most days. There was a 3 month span where I wasn't tight, and wasn't exercising at all, because I was recovering from a car crash. And, it took me a while to get back on track. I'm struggling a bit now, because I just had to go in for my first unfill. The week I suffered with not being able to keep even Water down was the worst since my surgery. When they took Fluid out, I think we were too cautious and now I am not tight enough. It's hard to convince yourself it's ok to "use will power" when I've spent so much time and effort and $$ for this procedure. To top it off, my normally supportive husband is not enjoying my new lifestyle as much as I hoped he would. Just pray for me, everybody...I go back for a fill in 4 weeks! VegasGrace 1 Posted March 17, 2008 Definitely, you will be in my prayers. Not sound like alot? Are you kidding...you are doing awesome! A few years ago, did you think you'd be 86 pounds lighter today? I know for me, just a few years ago I never thought I'd see 140, or a size 6. You hang in and hang on! shortgal 5 Posted March 17, 2008 86 pounds is fabulous. Just try to hang on to your weight loss and not gain until your fill and you'll be fine. Think of it as being on maintenance. You've had a small set back, it'll be ok. It's not a race, it's the rest of your life. Concentrate on all the victories you have so far, smaller clothes, fewer meds maybe, walking better, looking younger etc. What is it about YOUR new lifestyle that is affecting your husband negaitively?
