NicoleW8ing 0 Posted April 20, 2008 I know I was getting plenty of Protein. That's something I have always been very careful about. Dr. Watkins who used to post on Lap Band Talk, said it's from rapid weight loss. I lost 22 lbs the first month and 13 lbs during the 9th month. I did everything everyone told me to do. Make sure I was getting enough Protein, took Biotin and good Vitamins, etc. I think it just stops when it decides to. You can do a search on hair loss and see what everyone else has tried. Everyone pretty much decides that it stops when it wants to. Ugh... so not protein.... Find any other possibilities? Now this is something I'm concerned about... Mary-2b150 0 Posted April 22, 2008 I'm so confused about my hair loss. I lose weight very sloooooowly... like 4 pounds a month maybe, give or take a pound... I always choose foods high in Protein, though i don't count the number of grams per day, it's got to be around 65 grams per day at least... I take Vitamins and eat foods high in natural vitamins/minerals.. I wouldn't mind the Hair loss (as much) if I was losing like 12 pounds a month or something, but when you're losing slowly AND losing your hair, it is very frustrating! I'm glad that everyone who's experienced hair loss says it comes back, that makes me feel much better!
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted April 23, 2008 yes, it's very frustrating. I was just starting to not lose as much, and it started up again. When I counted back, it was from Sept. when I lost 13 lbs. The docs all say it starts the 4th month after surgery.
