Anyone got any info on Dr. Rodrigues?

I'm trying to find out about Dr. Rodrigues, in Monterrey, Mexico. Then plan is to have surgery the first week of April, at the San Pedro Clinic. Let me know what you think.

Hello and congrats on your decision to have lapband surgery.

I was banded by Dr. Arturo Rodriguez, if you have specific questions .... fire away!

I had surgery at Santa Engracia, but have heard good things about San Pedro, I know that it's a lot cheaper than Santa Engracia, maybe not as state of the art but I think the good care that you will receive is the same.

I too am getting banded with Dr. Arturo Rodriguez in Monterry. Surgery is scheduled for March 30th at San Pedro clinic. I have been doing tons of research on the doctor and the entire Mexico/surgery experience, and have not found many (if any) negative comments. Best of luck to you!

Hi

I'm Jody, and he is my Dr. I was banded 2/17/05 at the clinic and had a wonderful experience. The Dr. will make you feel so comfortable when you get there. He is kind and genuine. The anesthesiolgist was amazing, he made me feel as if I was family. The nurses are amazingly competent, but do not speak english. I had a really fun gal as my translator. The hotel you stay in has the best showers in the world, and if you go with someone the Dr. will make sure that person has all their meals at the Dr's expense.

Make sure on your way home you get a wheel chair escort, it will be a life saver when you get to customs and security. Let me know what you think when you get back.

Good luck,

Jody

Hello Fellow Kansans,

Had my surgery on 4/5/05, by Dr.Rodrigues, in Monterrey Mexico. Pain is deminishing daily, but I still take an occassional Vicodin when I overdo it. Tomarrow I get to start on mushy food, good thing 'cause I'm sick of liquids. My main thought is that surgery was more painful than I thought it would be, but I had no comparisons. Thank God my husband is a big guy, or I'd never have made it on and off the toilet, let alone out of bed those first few days. I feel real positive about this, like the hardest part is done. I know there are big challenges ahead, but I'm alive, home, and safe.
