Bandsters that live in the South

Recommended Posts

For those of you who live in the south, I'm sure you are familiar with cornbread dressing. I was wondering if this would be a good choice for the soft/mushie stage of eating? My mom makes it with chicken and boiled egg, that would be a good source of Protein. Hers is usually very moist, but if it wasn't moist enough, I could add some broth and/or put it in the food processer. I would maybe have to do that anyway for the chicken.< /p>

Did any of you eat this at this stage. It may be too carb-y, so if that's the case then I won't have her make me any. I'm just trying to get some ideas of things to have ahead of time, and have them in the house for when I'm ready.

Cornbread dressing should be fine. I ate some stove top stuffing on mushies and I added a little chicken stock to thin it out a bit. Yea, it's carby, but you should be fine as long as you don't go overboard with it.

I'm sure that should be fine & as you said, you can always add broth. I make mine a little spicey (do live in TX :o) w/Choirizo Sausage / chillies / pecans / dried apricots & cherries / onions....I like sweet & spicey in the same dish.

I tried to stay away from carbs early on, cause they are my downfall - and have worked since day one to stay away from them...Good Luck!!
