Lets hear em! Sometimes it's the little things...

*take the stairs 2 at a time

*go to the gym and not feel like the fat one

*learn to kite surf on our vacation

*shop in the normal girls department

*buy something at Victoria Secret that isn't perfume

*take the kids to the amusement park, and RIDE with them

*go on long bike rides in the park

*be able to look in the mirror and like what I see

*not be self conscious

*be a Lap-Band success story!

*wear sexy cloths and look hot in them

*not get out of breath walking up one flight of stairs

*I can't wait to buy something from Victorian Secret again.

*Buy clothing from the 'regular section.'

*Not feel like the biggest one in our leadership team meeting.

*Go to Disney World with my family and not feel like I am 'bringing up the rear' because I'm the slowest walker.

*Not be afraid to ride some of the more intense rides on our next WDW trip.

*Have skinny sex...you know, like be on top without feeling like my DH is taking his life into his hands.:tongue:

* I can't wait to actually buy clothes that didn't come from Lane Bryant!

* I want to go horse back riding again, without looking like I need a draft horse to carry me! lol :thumbup:

* I want to go to the beach and not have anyone staring at me.

* have more energy and get involved in more activities (volunteer)

* I agree with Jax - I want to feel less self-conscious, and I want to be a Lap-Band success story!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.

      I had my surgery on the 25th of June of this year. Starting off at 117 kilos.😒
