Anyone heard about Ben Stein's new movie Expelled?

I'm putting this in R&R because I have a feeling it's going to need to be there :)

I'm putting the movie release date on my calendar. Can't wait!

WOW, what a powerful trailer!! I had not heard of this movie until your post and I am looking forward to seeing it when it comes out. Do you have an actual date beyond "Spring, 2008"?

Thanks for posting this!

I actually HAVE heard of this movie before. I think Ben Stein was on the Fox News channel, discussing a movie he was making. I think (from what I can recall) the movie is not so much about intelligent design vs. evolution as it is about religious intolerence. Stein is very intelligent......I can't wait to see this movie.

The bad news is that Michael Moore will probably release a rebuttal movie.

:cursing:

That would be unfortunate. Even though I would most likely not see it, it would still suck having to listen to all the media hype over it.

This movie is coming out on Friday. I'm out of town so I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to see it (I'm going to try but it's been a busy trip thus far). I did just see a commercial for it. If anyone goes to see it, would you please post comments?

Looks like a good movie. I just hope Ben is better at making movies then market predictions. :rolleyes2:

Although I am an atheist I would be curious to see this movie.

Even though you're an athiest, I think they'll still let you in :rolleyes2:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
