I'll Bring a Baloon along to mark where we are sitting at Tuttle Mall for the fashion show and save 5-6 seats. I'll try to get there by 1:45 to stake a spot out for us.

I so don't want to miss out on the fashion show! I just don't want anyone that can't make it to feel abandoned at Polaris... I am way too much of an enabler! *sigh

Anyway, I think that I am going to not worry about it and go to the fashion show. I will edit the original post to reflect the changes. I will also bring name tags again so we can still see who our group is... and maybe afterwards we can move to the food court for some socialization? What do you think?

Do you think 5 chairs will be enough?

Original post has been edited to reflect the changes. I also tweaked the time to 1:45 because I figured that if the fashion show starts at 2 we might all want to be there and settled in before it starts. I will also try to be there early.

I will be there...with sleep in my eyes! My first night back to work is Friday, and I work again on Sat night, so I am going to try to get a few hours before I head to tuttle! I am getting excited! I figured it would be mostly GB patients this year, but maybe next year we can attack the runway with them! What do you think Mt Carmel Girls???

Thanks, Nikki and Juli for making me feel welcome.

I'm feeling pretty good today and it's only day 5. I keep hearing about bandester hell and it scares me. I'm not hurgery right now, but what happens in a couple of weeks? I don't know if I'm up for mushie food. I don't even like mashed potatoe. What will I eat?:purplebananna:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
