Hi! I am still about 50 lbs. away from visiting Plastic-ville, however, how much time do they require you to take off. I am sure it is different depending on the procedure done. At this time I am thinking about a TT and breast lift. Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

hi, i had an extended TT (with muscle repair) and mega Lipo to flanks, back and tummy.

i had my surgery on Friday 2/29 and will be returning to work 1/2 time this coming Monday 3/10. so Friday and a week off then 1/2 time the following week.

not sure how its going to work out, if i cant do 1/2 time, i'll take the rest of the week off. if the 1/2 time is fine, i'll do full days...

long reply to a basic question, sorry.

I am thinking 2 weeks plus 2 weeks telecommuting. Depends on whether or not you have a desk job. Either way I would say 2-4 weeks.

I visited "plastic-ville" before I got the band........I had Full Tummy Tuck and muscle/hernia repair. I have a physical type job. Up and down, stooping and walking and picking up heavy packages etc...so my Dr. first wanted me out for 3 weeks but when I did to much to fast my swelling got really bad and the drains had to stay in for an extra week so I was out a total of 4 weeks. Here are some pics

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
