OMG! Haven't experienced blizzard conditions and this volume of snow in a 12-18 hour period of time in over 30 years. Thought it would be fun for those of you in warmer climates to see a picture of this.

Also, I'm going crazy thinking what if I can't make it to the hospital for my surgery date due to a blizzard after working for 6 months to get there ---I tell you this-- it will be a cold day in ...... before I'll miss that surgery date!

:lol::redface::)

Sorry specialK about all that snow! I'm thinking about you while enjoying the 70 degree weather here in Phoenix, AZ. You'll make it to the important date!

I am jealous of all that snow....we are getting just rain, rain, and more rain. I am glad I went snowboarding yesterday while we still had snow!!

Wishing I was there....

Would take a heck of a lot more than a couple feet of snow to keep me from getting banded! You'll make it!

Okay, it stopped snowing shortly after I took that picture and I'm digging out today. Burning lots of calories pushing that snowblower and shoveling. I think I can get out of my driveway this afternoon so I'll just start praying that this little blizzard got itself out the system so no more for next Sunday with my surgery then on Monday.

I just saw that it's going to be in the 40s on Thursday. So the snow problem will likely work itself out. (Hopefully not right into my basement)

Ohhh, see if I was where there is snow, I would be taking advantage of it by getting on a snowmobile. When I was young, we lived in Michigan and I remember how much I loved snowmobiling!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
