Beccach 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Is it normal to not feel hungry or want anything to eat or drink the first few days post-op? I don't have a fill yet or anything. I try to drink my liquid diet but I just don't feel hungry and don't want to eat just because.

Even though you don't have a fill yet, you're still swollen from surgery. Once your swelling goes down, you'll be able to tell a difference and you may begin to feel a little hungry. Congrats on your surgery and good luck!
shortgal 5 Posted March 8, 2008 Yes, I was not hungry either. Could barely get my required Protein drink in the first few days. Dr' told me that might happen, just try to increase the amount each day until I was getting it all in. And that's what happened! You have swelling from the surgery, it will go down and some hunger will return. Funny thing is, then you'll be worried about that! Ironic huh? we do this to get rid of hunger, we worry when we don;t have hunger, we get it back and think "oh no", I'm hungry. All part of the early band phases. Normal and will pass with time. Just try to stay hydrated and Liquid Protein is your friend.
