bretalj 0 Posted March 10, 2008 I feel great ! almost too great I was banded last tues went to work fri and sat. I have to say i have slowly and in small bites started adding either very mushy or "chewed to death" foods. I see alot of other folks on this thread were banded last week. Is anyone else progressing this fast? Is this bad? like i said i feel really good. my only bad is that nasty trapped gas in my shoulder, but i think its even gone now!! :sneaky:
texgirl 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Banded on Friday, no weightloss. I don't think I'm actually hungry but really miss food. I can't wait for my creamy Soup stage. I'm going back to work tomorrow so I hope that will make it easier to not focus on what I can't have right now.

drkel 0 Posted March 11, 2008 I lost 10 pounds by the 10th day post-op. I'm almost at 2 weeks post-op, and still "holding" at a 10 pound loss.
lekesia 0 Posted March 11, 2008  I am 1 full week out, am now I am very hungry. I am still on liquids and will be on them for the next 3 weeks. mnn2501 0 Posted March 12, 2008 The surgeon up here in BC... Canada, likes his patients on clear fluids for 1 month. I don't think I'll last a full month. He says it's best for healing and getting started for weightloss. Is he nuts? Mine has on Clear Liquids for 3 days! then mushies for a month. Has he ever tried surviving on Clear Liquids for a month? mnn2501 0 Posted March 12, 2008 food Network is like porn, we are all addicted to FOOD!!! You are sooooo right. I got so depressed after watching a couple of food Network shows -- I got over it, but I recommend staying away from it until you're back on full foods. kcispy4 0 Posted March 12, 2008 Hey all. I am 1 week out today and my doctor has a pretty good diet progression. Liquids for the first 2 days post-opt, then thickened liquids (yogurt, pudding, cream soups) for days 3-5, then "cheat foods" until the post-op appt (mashed potatoes, oatmeal, applesauce, condensed soups). I get to go to my post-op tomorrow then move to mushy foods. Thank goodness because I feel very little, if no, restriction, and I'm just about starving. Not just craving, but stomache growling hungry. If I get too hungry I get gassy and that just hurts so I try to stay on top of it with half-way healthy foods. I can't wait for my first fill!!! Nikaweez 3 Posted March 14, 2008 I was banded on Friday 3/7 so today is my 1 week mark. I had my first post-op doc visit yesterday and had lost 12 lbs! Now I know this is due to consuming clear and full liquids at 4-6 oz at a meal - so I realize that my loss will be reduced as my intake normalizes The other side of the coin: I've lost 12 lbs a hundred times - it just doesn't feel like a real loss. I've failed at losing weight for decades, so it's hard to believe in my success. Humm..and issue to bring to therapy
RoseCity Girl 0 Posted March 14, 2008 I was also banded on 3/7. I have lost 14lbs and I am so excited! I still do not have much of a craving for food.< /p>
