shortgal 5 Posted March 7, 2008 Just spend the better part of three mornings and speaking with FIVE customer service reps ( and I use the term service loosely) to fix my reservation that they screwed up! Mess up #1 My flight was cancelled and I was never put on a new flight. #2 The first part of my return flight was changed to arrive earlier, so it was impossible for me to make the second connecting flight. don;t they have computer programs, that alert them to these things? I'm on hold forever. First day for over one hour and not resolved, Same thing next day, and next. No, they cannot call me back, while they work on it one agent says, then later says, I'll call you back, She does but says she can't get and Air France agent on the line. Well, Day four and finally fixed, I think, Fingers crossed. Warning: book international flights direct through airline and not expedia. Thanks, I feel better now! miztrniceguy 1 Posted March 8, 2008 but if you do book on expedia, pay with your citi premierpass/expedia mastercard and earn triple thank you points! sorry you had such a difficult time...i hate when flights get all screwed up

shortgal 5 Posted April 21, 2008 Hopefully all will go smoothly for you. I have used them many times for other flights, but will not use them for international flights anymore. With the unfavorable exchange rate of dollar to EU, I don;t think we'll be going to Europe again for a while anyway! It was the customer service that sucked once I found out there was a problem. ReadySteadyGo 8 Posted April 21, 2008 I have a special love affair with priceline. They have never done me wrong...but I have never booked a flight, just hotel and rent a cars.
Marimaru 7 Posted April 21, 2008 I never book through any of those services. I'll use them to search out the cheapest fairs sometimes, but once I know who is the cheapest, I just go get the tickets directly. The tickets are often the same price directly from the carrier, minus the booking fees, and then you can deal with the airline directly if there is an issue. Ang1982 4 Posted April 21, 2008 Eeek, I have heard some sketchy things about Expedia but that is terrible! Like Marimaru, I usually go to those places (Expedia, Priceline, etc) to see who they list as the cheapest then go to that companies website and book through them - I have found that for flights as an example Priceline's fares are VERY comparable to going direct to the airline. Daisalana 33 Posted April 22, 2008 Whenever I go to buy tickets, I compare 3 or 4 different sites. The past 3 out of 3 trips, Travelocity had the best deals.. never had a problem. This last one, I booked it so far in advance, the schedule has changed already, but they are direct flights to & from, so it's not a big deal..and they did e-mail me the new flights as soon as it changed. The problem with airlines, is that they do change flights all the flippin time! I've missed flights due to delays, etc. It's part of flying, and I for one hate flying. Glad you got it worked out though )
