VG lapband

I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 2 week check ups ince surgery. He said I would get a fill in one more month, yea!! I asked him how many cc's my band held and he said I had a VG band and it would hold about 10cc. I didn't know there were different types of bands. Anyone know about this particular band and if you have one, your experience with it? Thanks!

Congratulations on your surgery and recovery. The FDA has approved a few different bands and they all do the same thing; restrict the flow of food into the stomach by creating a pouch above the stomach. This results in feeling full faster and with a smaller amount of food. The choice of what band to use is based on your anatomy and your surgeon's preference. I've got the same one as you do.
