Just like a frappuccino!!!

Recommended Posts

So I have discovered pure delight in the form of frothy goodness. Slimfast chocolate and vanilla powder blended with non-fat milk and ice is to die for! Seriously - I am in heaven and could have this delicious concoction morning, noon and night. And - at 200 calories a pop, I just might! I’ve used my design skills to put together a step by step set of instructions for all of you on how to create the perfect shake. Really - you can’t go wrong…and it’s ooh so right!

Sounds awesome! I was wondering, I keep the canned low carb slim fast at home...........could I just add some ice to that and blend it, would it taste pretty much the same?

I don't see why not. Try it out and if it tastes like a frapp - then you know it's right! I actually put a bit more than a cup and a half of ice in it - about 2 cups and we have a really powerful blender. I then pour it into a big cup and scoop it out with a spoon and it's like i'm eating a chocolate or vanilla ice cream shake. only better!!!

Ooh yes - make sure you blend it really good - and my favorite way to eat it is with a spoon - that way it's like a nice thick milkshake!!! I now have to fight my husband away from taking "tastes"!!!

You will be over the moon! It's my favorite thing .. I may stay on liquids forever!!! Well - maybe not forever - but I'll keep drinking the shakes for as long as they keep making slimfast!

Yummy!!! I can't wait to try this.

Sadly I'm lactose intolerant. Slimfast is made using milk products.

I am eating it right now.....very good stuff! I used the canned low carb chocolate slim fast, a lot of ice, and just a little leftover coffee from this morning and ummmm, it's very good. I'm also eating it with a spoon, make me think I'm eating something bad.......but I'm not! Thanks for the idea!

Sounds good but is that a tablespoon of the slimfast, or one of the slimfast scoops, or a teaspoon, or...? I can just see myself making it wrong and having it be gross.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
