What kind of TV shows do you watch?

Recommended Posts

I'm a trashy reality show junkie. I really am embarrased to admit that I watch Flavor of Love and Rock of Love, Brady Maybe Baby, Scott Baio is 46 and pregnant...etc..

I also love Biggest Loser, American Idol, Grey's Anatomy (if we ever get a new episode!), and older shows like Arrested Development. Love the Office, love....well, as you can see....I am a confirmed couch potato. lol

What do you guys like to watch?

Hey Gibson...Do not feel guilty. There are a lot of us t.v. show junkies out here. HA!!! I love Idol, Biggest Loser, The Bachelor, Survivor, Amazing Race, 24, Ugly Betty, Lost, and Days of Our Lives!!! Yep, still a soap opera person, but that's the only soap I watch. Have watched it for 27 years. Good grief, I know there are more but can't think of them right now.

I watch the BIGGEST LOSER, Ghost Hunter, Ghost Whisperer, every week. I used to watch Greys and Heroes weekly but the writers strike put those on hold.

I cant watch Flavor of Love anymore ICK!

I love the Brady's but I missed to may episodes to start now. I need a marathon!

Definitely Idol (maybe we need to start an Idol thread! LOL). There are so many good contestants this year!

Otherwise, Big Medicine, Dog Whisperer, CSI (Vegas and Miami), just started watching New Amsterdam last night, it's pretty good, I'm not big on reality TV other than Idol or TV series. I watch a LOT of football during the season, NASCAR, lots of documentaries and such.

Oh me too!!!! Can't believe I forgot about football!!!!! That's just sacreligous!! HA! I live & breath for football during the season. And I mourn after the super bowl. My favorite sport. I'm a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, but love certain other teams too.

LOL, you and me both. I mourn when the pro bowl happens and I actually watch the draft and pre-season! LOL I love college too especially my GATORS! <chomp chomp>. Will be loving my lapband come next season when I won't have to squish my butt into those seats at the Swamp! For pros we are definitely Jag fans, also Steeler fans (DH is from PA) and da Bears! (ex is from Chicago by way of Ireland). So yeah, I live and breathe football and motorcycles LOL

I watch the draft too, not all of it, but a lot of it. And pre-season??? Well that's just when it all gets started & I love it. I wait with anticipation until the schedules come out every year & I can see who we start off with, then I count down the days. Literally mark it on my calendar every year. OH NO....NOT THE STEELERS OR THE BEARS!!!!! HA!!!!! As a true die hard Cowboy fan, I don't supposed I have to tell you why I can't stand either one of those teams. ha!!! Don't take offense though, I have a lot of friends that are cowboys haters & we GO AT IT every season! It's fun. I usually win bets & stuff. I work with people from all over the country so it gets very very interesting around here during football. I never was big on college ball until my neice started USC in 04. Have been trying to get into it more & more every year, it's just difficult because it's so different from the pros. My nephew is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Gators fan, always has been & the Longhorns of course. But I do pull for the Gators because of him & I pull for the Trojans because of my neice, and the Longhorns because well, I'm from Texas, and I like the TN Volunteers because my sister lived there a long time ago. Let's see it's now March, so we have all of March & 5 months until pre-season. Good Lord!!!! That's too long. ha! AAAHHH...but the draft is next month. YIPEE!

Gibson..I'm with you!! I'm a total reality TV whore!! I watch all the shows you mentioned and several other cheesy shows (ie: Real Housewives of OC..who make me gag, yet I still watched!!) Love Grey's!! Can't wait until it comes back. I just caught up on American Idol. It's better now that it's only a hour. It was interferring with Biggest Loser and Big Brother...LOL!! I also like all the news magazine shows like Dateline and 20/20. Yeah...I just thought of some other Bravo TV shows that I watch...like ALL of them!!

Glad to have some partners in crime!!

I forgot about Desperate Housewives too. Those ladies crack me the hell right up!!!!!! And yes, the news programs (if the topic is right) I'm addicted to those too. Dateline, 20/20, Primetime, 48 hours, etc...all of them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
