my "biggest" problem so far ...

Recommended Posts

Is I can't bring myself to eat Breakfast yet .. I just can't stomach the thought of eating in the morning.

On the days I do try, I wind up feeling so sick to my stomach I can't hardly eat the rest of the day.

HELP! How can I work myself up to Breakfast? ??

some people can't eat breakfast. My dr told me not to eat it if I wasn't hungry.

The truth is that now that I have restriction I can't really eat it. I have to be up a few hours before I can even attempt or else I PB.

I also have a book about lapband and it says that you don't have to eat breakfast, that it's just a "myth". But of course, you should check w/ your dr.

If you MUST eat something for breakfast, maybe try a Protein Shake instead of solid food. A lot of bandsters can't eat until later in the morning, because their bands are too tight to eat early in the AM. Personally, I just don't eat breakfast unless I'm hungry, and then it's usually plain oatmeal.< /p>

I was just going to suggest the Protein Shake. I usually make a Protein Shake for breakie every morning before leaving for work (granted I have no restriction at the moment) and sip away at it for a couple of hours when I first get to work and I find it usually tides me over until lunch time - plus you get a head start on your Protein for the day.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
