Newbeginnings 0 Posted March 5, 2008 I finally got my date and just barely will be a march bandster. Has anyone else wanted to eat everything in sight? I am trying hard to control the monsters. My dr doesnt require the liquid 10 day diet, thank god but he did say he didnt want me to gain a bunch of weight so not to come back in a month weighing 5 lbs more. I thought" 5 lbs is a bunch of weight? I could do that in one week" I am doing my 2 miles a day on my treadmill and trying to behave myself. I have to stay one night because I am traveling 200 miles and the dr is fixing my hiatal hernia at the same time. I realized the next day would be April 1, April fools day. I am thinking of something to do as an april fools joke to my Dr when he comes in to check on me in the morning. Any idea's. New beginnings
Emily'sDad 0 Posted March 5, 2008 I can relate, I am wanting to get my fill of all the junk food I won't be able to eat post banding. I'm trying to limit myself to one nice meal this weekend, just haven't figured out what yet.
Newbeginnings 0 Posted March 7, 2008 HI Emily's dad, when are you being banded? I see you have 1.5 kids. Does that mean one on the way? when is it due? We have about the same amount of weight to lose but you will probably lose it quicker being a guy. I don't know if the band helps even the playing field on that one or not. good luck to you. new beginnings
Emily'sDad 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Hi Newbeginnings I am scheduled to be banded on the 27th of March..19 more days! I have a one year old daughter (who rocks) and am expecting an other kid in August (don't know the sex yet). From what I've seen on this website it seems like weight loss is highly variable between differant folks. In my case I have a pretty big frame which means I won't be able to lose as much, at least not easily. My surgeon thought 235 would be a good goal for me (186lb is my ideal weight by the books). I'm hoping to get a little below 235, but it won't be easy I am sure. The most important thing is how determined you are to stick with the guidlines that we have to follow as new bandsters. Like staying away from the cheater foods like shakes and juice.< /p> Best of luck to you, let me know how your surgery goes!?!
