Does this happen to anyone else?

I have 3.6cc in a 4cc band. I do have some restriction because if I don't chew well enough I do get stuck. BUT, when I'm eating and do chew slowly I can feel it going through within a few minutes. So is that how the band is supposed to work? I thought it was supposed to sit in the pouch for awhile so I'd feel fuller longer? At this rate I'm still eating almost as much as before. Do I need more of a fill? I'm a little afraid to get more of a fill and then not be able to get anything through. My last fill I went from 3cc to 3.6cc. I do notice a little difference but my Dr seemed to think it would almost be too aggressive of a fill. Oh.. and that was 2 weeks ago.

HELP!

you can actually feel the food going from your small pouch to your stomach. I can usually feel it going down my throat to my stomach but I don't usually feel it going though the pouch. The best thing I can suggest is to talk to your doctor. Good Luck!

I think so. I know sometimes if I don't chew enough it kind of hurts so I think it's going through from the pouch to the stomach. It's the same place that hurts when I get stuck. I just worry I don't have enough of a fill if I can feel the food going through.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
