Rascal76 0 Posted March 4, 2008 Hi, New to the site... Ready to do this and make the commitment, but in fear of being denied... No co-morbities and only a BMI of 39... This can't be the end of it... can it?
Brandy~ 2 Posted March 4, 2008 All BCBS's are different. Mine is of Minnesota. They are very specific that you have to have a BMI over 40 or alot of health problems... How close are you to 40?
Brandy~ 2 Posted March 4, 2008 Hmm thats a huge moral dilema.. I am a pretty moral person but I would probably gain 10 pounds. Might be bad advice but it's honest. Have you already went in for a consult?
Kat817 19 Posted March 4, 2008 Would tempt me to wear some really heavy jewelry, heavy jeans, drink lots of Water prior to appt......lay it on thick, but not permanent!!! My BCBS was of TX and it was 35 w/ 2 co morbidities, and 40 w/ none. Good Luck! Kat
hnladue 7 Posted March 4, 2008 I got approved and I have BCBS. I am 39.5. You have to have 2 co-morbidites here to get approved.
Rascal76 0 Posted March 4, 2008 Hi, I feel the same way! I don't want to gain more weight I'm already miserable! I think I'm going to load up my pockets, keep my shoes on and drink plenty of water! The only high morbidity I could have possibly is cholesterol... Mine is as of last year 210??? Is that considered high enough to be dangerous? I thank you in advance for your responses... Oh and to answer your question... Yes, I have been to an information session and my first one on one appointment is the end of this week. The lady I spoke with said I only have to be that weight this one weigh in and after that they expect me to lose some weight... Ugh! Thanks again!
