Hey..I'm a feb 11 bandster!!! So far I've lost 20lbs and counting!!! I am sooo excited about my band...waiting to get my first fill..but my appetite has been significantly decreased since surgery!!! I have to admit I did try to eat pizza..no actually.......I DID eat pizza and I was sick!!!! So I have learned my lesson!!! :( I am seeing my Doc in 2 wks to discuss a fill...the funny part is I can't feel my port..I'm guessing it's because of my flab???!!!! Anywayz..just wanted to become a part of the 'Feb Bandsters'!!!!

Welcome to the Victorious Valentines! Wow, 20lbs! Good job!

hey, i see that you are a scrapbooker! so am i! BIG time... did you start a scarapbook of your weight loss journey?? i wish i could share mine...it is awesome... i got before pictures of myself taken at picture people with a solid white background... probably could've done them myself but wanted them to turn out good... i got them scrapbooked--- now just waiting until i have enough weight off to "tell" in a picture-- then I'll go back and get subsiquent pictures of my weight loss... picture people was used to me coming in with my kids/family...when i came by myself--they asked what was up... i told them i was planning on losing lots of weight and getting healthy in 2008.... so they gave me a SIGNIFICANT discount on my first pictures... and offered me more great discounts if they could display my loss on their walls!! So my FAT pic is up on the wall!! what fun!

No, but I do have those white background pictures, because I'm a photographer. I had dh take them. I have a set fully dressed, one in sports bra and yoga pants, and a bra and underwear set that I won't be sharing. LOL

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
