okiejudy 0 Posted March 10, 2005 Hi, I live in Carrollton, Texas. I just had my first appointment with Dr. Veninga last week. Now I am waiting to see what the insurance company says. I have been overweight all of my life. The only times in my life I was even close to a normal size was when I was on diet pills. I started taking diet pills in the 7th grade. I am now 59 as of yesterday. I am nervous about having the surgery but I am tired of being overweight. Has anyone used Dr. Veninga? Any suggestions on what I should be doing while I am waiting to hear from the insurance company?

Penni60 45 Posted March 10, 2005 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!! There got the real business out of the way. OK what should you be doing while waiting for insurance? HMMM!! Let me think. (Imagine POOH with his little paw finger tapping his head saying "THINK THINK") LOL!! Spa treatments: All a MUST while waiting for approval Manicure Pedicure Facial Massage Oh you were referring to band related things. Hmmm!! Let me think. (see above). Nope can't think of a thing. If you really want to you can go on a strict diet and try to lose the weight yourself. NAWWW!! That ain't no fun. You could hire a trainer and sweat to the oldies with Richard Simmons. NAWWWWWWWW! That would be fun to watch not participate in. All joking aside, if you want to do something then just try to eat healthier and be more conscious of what you are taking into your body. That's all. New Hope 37 Posted March 10, 2005 Judy, best of luck to you! Don't watch much t.v....too many food commercials. Start walking regularly. Start drinking that daily waterload. Get in the habit of not drinking w/your meals or 1 hour afterwards. Start wearing all your favorite clothes that will soon be forever too big.
