Lump in my breast, was it always there but didn't notice from the fat

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have a lump that is right near my cleavage. It keeps on getting bigger and bigger and I do not know which doctor I should see. GYN, Derm or family practice. Has anyone had these kind of lump (its right on my breast plate) I've done some research and found out that breast cancer have a tendencies to be in the middle or towards your arm pit. But this lump is towards the middle of my chest. Please someone help me understand what it is??????????

I don't know much about this but I would see your family doctor in the first instance. He/she will send you for tests if required. Good luck, hope it's nothing serious.

Go to your GP. I found a large lump before and went to the GP who told me I just have lumpy breasts. She explained the difference between the type of lumps and showed me how I basically had a matching one on the other breast. It is probably nothing to worry about but there is no point ignoring it either. Get it checked out and have your mind out at rest.

Any of your Dr's should be able to help but GO immediately and have it checked out. I have "lumpy breasts" - but with Breast Cancer in my Family I get checked twice a year (OBYGN), and once a year I have a mamogram w/ sonogram. I do both, since a mamogram can miss certain things - a lumpy breast is easy to determine via sonogram. Please get this checked out, don't ignore any signs.~

I agree with the others, go have it checked, immediately! I would probably go to my ob-gyn, but all that matters is that you do see a doctor as soon as possible.

There are lymph nodes in the area you are describing, but I would still get it checked out. I have numerous little lumpies there now, and had my OB/GYN check it out. He wasn't alarmed, but I'm still going to have my regular mamogram done on Wednesday. I want them to compare to the image to when I was fatter. It ALL feels different....

I also have a lump on my breast right on my breastplate. My ob gyn said it's just a cyst. But, go get checked out anyway. YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SAFE!!!!!

Went to the doctor and it was a cyst, the doctor removed and put a drain and should have the band-aid on for another three weeks for my next visit. All is good.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
