TRENYA07 0 Posted March 2, 2008 I always sleep on my stomach and since surgery I have been sleeping on my back and sides. Well, the problem is, my hips are sore and I don't sleep as good on my back. Is it ok to sleep on your belly? I was told that sleeping on your side is ok but didn't address the belly:confused:

kbinaz 0 Posted March 2, 2008 You really can do anything that is comfortable for you. sleeping on your tummy is not going to hurt the port or make it flip or anything like that. It is just kind of uncomfortable at first to lie in that position. I am a side sleeper and couldn't sleep on either side right after surgery. That was the worst part of the surgery for me! If it feels okay for you to sleep on your stomach go for it! And if it hurts now, it won't forever!
