Beautiful Lexy!!! I know that whatever name and design everyone here chooses it will be great, all these designs are so cute! I love how you put the picture in it, it gives everyone a chance to see the beautiful faces behind all this typing!! Now if only I was positive I would be a May bandster!! Good luck to all! Keeping my fingers crossed for May!!!

You ladies are so cute with all the logs for us. I like them all so far. I like the idea of associating our picture with our logo, great idea. So far I haven't seen any guys in our group, anyone?!? Maybe it won't matter if we're may flowers if no guys join our group! Ha ha.

Well it was a sad day today to actually see my ticker go UP, but I actually had to postpone my surgery a week. I'm happy to say that I'll still be a May girl, but my date has been pushed back to May 13th.

Fortunately though, my postponement is for a GOOD reason! My friend is getting married just 3 days after when I would have had my surgery, and I couldn't possibly miss her wedding. I just didn't want to risk traveling so quickly after surgery, so this is certainly for the best.

I heard someone else refer to their surgery date as their B-day, and that gives me so much excitement! I wish my day was getting closer, rather than farther away, but I'm excited that we'll still be going through this journey together!

Welcome on board Jessica! That's the day before my actual birthday, and 4 days after my band date. Ha ha. I love the fact that some of you have tickers until band date, so I can keep track of mine too!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
