I did an hour of weight training today (arms/upper body).

Becky, I have had it about 5 or 6 days. The first few days I wouldnt leave my street, but today I decided it was time. What a workout it is. Abs, forearms, legs all at once. It sure is more fun than the marathon walks I was taking...LOL

I just looked it up also. It is amazing! If I didn't have a 14 year old who would take it the minute it came I might try it when I lose more poundage!!:biggrin:

I did an hour of cardio and an hour of gardening today. Oh my aching back!

Jody, I havent figured out how to go uphill yet so that will be my thing for tomorrow, weather permitting. I just got out of a long soaking hot bath and still feel like someone beat me up...LOL

I just finished 4.5 miles with my weights. Thanks to Becky's before and after pics I went downstairs with my son and did a full weight training session!! I still don't like it but I think I will like the results!!!

Another day of exercise done on Saturday. Lots of Trikking and walking and still mnaged to get in the hour in the weight room. I think I will take Sunday off though.......Yep, I'm a wimp LOL

Checking in -- I'm having very busy (but fun) weekend!

Yesterday, one hour of cardio and one hour of weight training (legs/lower body).

Will check in later or tomorrow to report today's workout.

Just finished a 4.5 mile walk. Flat ground this time. My body is aching a bit. Enjoy your Sunday.

Jody, you are really kicking in to high gear. I can tell you are serious about this. Great job. Keep going!

Oh yeah Dave, you're such a wimp. Are you kidding me Mr. Exercise Machine? You haven't gotten down 117 lbs. by taking very many days off from exercising. As you are getting close to your goal how are you feeling about exercise? Do you love it now or just force yourself to do it? Do you think you've picked up a lifelong habit? I'm curious how everybody feels about exercise now. Please chime in one and all.

Almost forgot, one hour of cardio for me today. You guys are making me look like a wimp.

Okay so I am worried that I will get out of the habit when I go in for PS! I think this is for life. I don't ever want to get back to where I was. I go to the gym for ME time and it really does help. That doesn't mean that it is pleasant everyday, but I would say 80% of the time I enjoy being there. I did a total of 1.5 hours today...mix of cardio and weights

Just so you all know...I AM MISERABLE! My fill is way too tight and it is getting tighter by the day. When I first got it I was happy...now I am angry. Yesterday at this time I got down Soup and beans...tonight I can get down the broth. I have slimed all day and now I am grumpy. Got to wait until spring break to go in and get it unfilled and that is a week away. Worried that my workout is going to suffer because I seem to have CRAP for energy when I am just on liquids. Just thought I would share because I just got done swallowing ONE BEAN and feeling like I swallowed an elephant and I wanted to share!

Oh Salsa,

I feel so sorry for you. My band tightens up if I am upset. I have heard others say that also. Try and relax and enjoy that hot new body of yours!! You look great and you have done an amazing job in a small amount of time. I can't imagine you would go back to your old ways especially after surgery. At support group, one woman is too tight but leaves herself that way. She purees high Protein Soup like lentil or any type of bean. I hope you feel better soon! You have certainly inspired me!!

Karri, I feel for you! Sounds like your doc needs to back off a tad on the fills - didn't you get overfilled before Xmas too? How much is going in each time? Blecch!

I'm just starting to get comfy again from my last one and I definitely still need to slow things way down. I'm going to hold off on a fill for this month and see how I feel in a few weeks.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

        Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
