Great photos! Penni, you can give those goggles to a dog to wear while hanging his head out the car window. I gotta ask: how much did the monovision surgery cost?

The original surgery where I had both eyes done was in the neighborhood of $4500. I did that surgery Oct 2003 and this monovision adjustment surgery fell within the two year grace period of care and this surgery was FREE. I love this doctor. He is so good. I think if you had to have the one eye done with this doc and had the same exact thing I had done it would most likely cost $2500. It could be less though.

Yeah the surgery was a breeze I just hate the every hour eye drops. I only gotta do it for three more days though. Anti-inflammatory, then antibiotic, then in between those I do the lubricant. SIGH!! I am doing eye drops every hour till bedtime. THen I put the goggles on and hit the hay.

I hear the goggles calling me now.

Hey Vera: Yeah I went bolder on the highlights. It really lightened up the brown. I also had her cut the layers a little shorter. I love it. Think it is almost time for a touch up on the roots again though. SIGH!! LOL!!

Christina: You slay me. I'm bringing the goggles to Vegas and going out in them. LOL!!

Penni, you can use my glue gun and box of rhinestones to decorate those goggles. I'll warm it up for you.

They actually have them, they are called doggles. Of course, the mere thought of doggles sends me into a fit of giggles.

I think someone needs to steal the battery from Penni's notebook...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
