I keep dreaming about food.

Here's what I keep dreaming of wearing, and that moderates what and how and when and why I eat:

Once you are wearing those, will you be sharing pictures with us Jack? :w00t:

Somebody else posted something similiar to this on general discussion, so I'm going to copy my answer from that onto here.. because I've been having a lot of food dreams too! my post:

I've been having weird dreams too.

Last night I dreamed that I was working at a restaurant that served tons of sweetcakes, cinnamon rolls, and breaded items. WHen I was on break I went through the line to get my lunch and there was platters and platters of all these cakes and cinnamon rolls and stuff... and the guy, who oddly looked like Morgan Freeman from "Driving Miss Daisy", had a huge smile on his face with outstretched arms saying, "Crystal, partake of some of these wonderful sweetbreads" and I was very tempted and then said, "I can't, I was just banded and have to eat vegetables".. now, obviously I can't eat vegetables right now as I'm still in the liquid phase, but I think my pre- south beach diet phase came into play here and then he showed me a platter with green Beans and blackeyed peas and I remember looking back and forth at the two and getting really sad because I wanted the cinnamon rolls.

Even in my dreams I won't eat breaded items anymore. That's pretty pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
