Feb. Bandsters lb. lost so far

Recommended Posts

I was banded on 2/20, lost 20 pounds so far, doc was very happy with me. As most on here, eating more, getting more hungry each day...was nice the first four or five days with zero hunger pains.

I have lost 19 pounds first week but seem like it has slowed down. I am still on liquid phase. Anyone have this happening. It seems as little is going in it would still be coming off.

I was banded Feb. 12th and total I've lost about 16 pounds since before surgery. I won't get a fill until the end of March, so I'm eating more. Well, I'm eating alot smaller amounts than before but I've noticed I can eat more times in the day than before. It's quite frustrating!

Banded on 2/4/08. I have lost a total of 20 lbs since surgery. Have been gaining and loosing the same 3 lbs since mushies/solid foods. But at least I have not gained and kept my loss at 20 lbs.

Trying to maintain until 1st fill March 19.

My doctor is very conservative and does not do fills sooner than 8 weeks, so my first fill won't be until the first week of April.

Hello All, I got my band on 2-29-08 in San Antonio, Tx by Dr. Gonzales. I can say that I am doing really good. I thought that it was going to be worst than it has been. I am getting over this clear liquid diet, but I vow to hang in there because I did not do this just to got back to old habits. I have been really craving toast with butter and jelly, but I refuse to give in. I am really thankful that I found this site and all of the information that you all have provided has been awsome. So far I have lose 5lbs since being banded....

Hi!

I was banded on February 15. According to my bathroom scales I am down 18 pounds since surgery. I won't update the ticker until I see the doctor again.

I was banded 2-08-08 and counting my 3 day pre-op diet I'm down 27 pounds. (I think the pre-op diet helped me lose about 5 pounds, I'm not sure.) It slowed down at about 25 pounds down and goes up and down a pound here and there. I'm so grateful for such quick loss. I get my first fill this week, on 3-06-08.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
