lynnt1215 1 Posted June 26, 2008 No matter where we began our journey and where we are now, we are all a success. Just think of where we would be without the surgery and the tool to help us get healthy . WE are like a team helping each other. We joy in each other's success and encourage each other to be positive and we will all succeed..
mscathyl 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Today's my baby boy's birthday . He's 20 now !! Where did the years go ? We plan on going to the Mexican Restaurant . I went to the gym for the first time Tuesday was there for 1.5 hrs. The trainer set up a program for my friend and me and worked us thru it and when we went back yesterday the owner was there and he made us a different program and worked us thru it . We were there for 2.5 hrs. He told us that it should take us about 1 hr. to do it once we get going . We're going back today so we'll see. I was so tired when I got home I had an egg and a yogurt for supper . I feel alot better both mentally and physically .
sharona 2 Posted June 26, 2008 So, success on the scales today: a 2 lb drop! 11 more to go for the Century! 11 pounds in 24 days - I think I can do it... And if I can't, it's still going in the right direction. I hope to hit 90 lost by Monday. No, heck - I hope to hit it by Friday... You can do it Fenton.....!!!! 100 lbs...incredible...think about where you were this time last year!!! it is only a stone's throw away.....:biggrin2::embaressed_smile:
texgirl 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Lynn, Lisa and Christine, Yay for y'all!!! You are doing great. Fenton, you are an inspiration to us all.
hopeinapril 1 Posted June 26, 2008 HI everyone! Christine - How exciting! I can't wait to join you under 250! I am thrilled for you! Fenton - I believe that folks will "notice" your weight loss once you get clothes that fit! I think people don't always notice when you loose a little weight, they notice the different clothes. Well, sounds like we are doing pretty good. What a great thing for us all!
SpecialK 22 Posted June 27, 2008 BNLisa and Lynnt1215 -- I am back to my Water aerobics class at the local community pool - this one is outside in the summer and the instructor really runs our butts off in class for a solid hour twice a week. For anyone who is intimidated to go to a Water aerobics class, never fear, there are plenty of folks (Men and Women) out there who need to lose alot of weight and they are there exercising to try to do just that so GO! You'll enjoy it.
ajoneen 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Iam more of a lap swimmer but I did go to a Water aerobics class a few years ago with a friend that could not swim. She made me promise to stay by her side. By the end of the session she was bopping along with the best of them. We would have done another session but the pool was being closed for repairs. So if you aren't going because of a fear of the water-GO! You never put you head under. You can stay in the shallow end, about waist high. Water is the perfect environment for gentle workouts (easy on the joints).
mylah 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Congrats everyone on their super weight loss:drool::blushing:.Question about the bodybugg,Is the armband large enough for very large arms or do you need extentions. Also is it worth the money. The wii fit was so worth it. I was also wondering with proper restriction would I still be able to eat a full hamburger or full sandwich.

Sorry I don't have one but I would think it would fit. Nobody has complained of it not fitting. I was also wondering with proper restriction would I still be able to eat a full hamburger or full sandwich. Probably not. I don't think I have really great restriction but I couldn't eat a full size anything right now without feeling some discomfort. I think the real question is should you? JulieC 0 Posted June 27, 2008 I totally agree about how people really notice your weight loss when you get new clothes that fit right. I finally had to give in and buy some new clothes and omg the compliments I got last week made me feel like a million bucks!!!
lynnt1215 1 Posted June 27, 2008 Clothes that fit make for a great NSV. I have bought new pants and shirts. and looking at myself as I walk by a store window, I can actually see the difference. What a boost to the ego I was measured last week and have lost 4 inches in both my waist and hips.. woohoo!!! I actually had a friend call me "slim" the other day.
