Knowing my luck, I would give up the band and then the next day total the new Corvette!!!

Oh yes Kelly ...but won't have as much trouble with insurance company on getting the $60,000.00 for a new Vet as you would with getting $15,000.00 for a new band

Yay Jan! Yep, she's our third April Banster...yippee!!! Jan, go sign up at April 2005 Bandsters thread and post your date and Dr., that way your band buddies can keep up and we'll go through it together!

I hate needles too...I can never look. You'll get some practice pre-surgery for your blood labs, so Band day will be a breeze!!! Yay You!

Jan, just don't look, silly. Really theren't shouldn't be too many needles involved. Just some pre-op blood work, then the i.v. right before your surgery. And they give you a tiny little injection to numb the area before inserting the i.v. needle. Once the i.v. is hooked up, they'll be able to administer the meds. to initially put you to sleep before the surgery. Then afterwards, they'll be able to administer any pain meds. needed - through your i.v. So once the i.v. is going, no more sticks. You'll do fine!

Hi Jan W

I just scheduled my surgery for 4/5/05, with Dr. Rodrigues, in Monterrey, Mexico. Yes I'm scared, but at the ssame time very excited. I plan on using the time before surgery to do as much research as I can. There is so much to learn. Pre-op=learn as much as you can, Intra-op=get through surgery, Post-op=learn to eat and drink correctly, Rest of your life=enjoy the new you. Hope to hear from you. Take care!

Robin
