50 Pounds Gone Forever!!!

Recommended Posts

Yeap it has finally happened for me. I would never have believe it would be this quick for me either. I feel so lucky because I have had no fill and I have been this successful. I am continuing on plan and loving it quite frankly.

I have noticeablly lost this weight, at least to others. I still have trouble seeing it in a mirror.....however, I can't deny it in the size of clothes difference. I was a tight 26 and now am in a 20 and am anxious for the 18 because I have allot of clothes in the 18-16 size range that I want to wear.

I am happy with the appearance but am even more happy with the energy and feeling of well being that has come over me in the past 3 1/2 months since my banding!!

I want to shout it to the world......EAT HEALTHY!!! It Pays OFF!!

Wendy I am, I know that I would never have done this before being banded. I had tried and failed so many times. This has seemed so easy.....just follow the plan and stay on track....and it has just come off!!

I just got back from Water aerobics and I am not sleepy....but I have to be up and at work at 6am.....ewwwwwwww.......it is getting late...LOL

To those out there who think you cannot be successful with the band......I have to say if I can do this anyone can. I cannot explain why I have the restriction without a fill but I apparently have enough because I am able to eat within the boundries of the band and feel satiated.

I know that many struggle with all of this, and I hope that those who are will see the success I have had as a positive thing. I know that when I am not losing for weeks and then boom I drop 5 pounds, which is how my body has been doing it for the past two months. That I too would get discouraged with other posters large numbers. But what I was failing to see what the bigger picture. That as long as you STAY the COURSE you are bound to be successful. Even if you are not losing weekly, making muscle out of fat weighs more so there are times you are not going to see the change in the numbers.....However when I go in for my next bodpod in May I am certain I will see a large difference in my BMI. That for me will be the biggest success of all.....to know that I have restructured my body and put that fat I had to a much better use.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF US WHO MADE THE DECISION TO TAKE CONTROL OF food........and to no longer let food control us!!

Look at you! Eleven more pounds just since you started this thread! You're exactly right -- we just have to be patient, diligent about follow-up appointments and following the rules, and the weight will come off! Congratulations!

Thank you Kendra!!

Yes it is all about being patient and letting your body adjust to what is happening. My body loses in chunks of weight, it holds on to it and then poof overnight I lost 5 pounds....that has been its norm so far that is.

I am thrilled with my results, and I am very lucky to have done it all with no fill to date....Yippee!!

Stay the course that is my mantra!!:o

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
