Getting banded on March 3!!!

Hello Everyone

I wanted to introduce myself and say good luck to everyone. I will be getting banded on March 3 and i am very nervous. I am addicted to food and this preop diet is killing me! if anyone out there has any input on this preop nightmare please let me know I am not alone. thanks

Hi and welcome to LBT. Congratulations on your decision to get the band. The pre-op diet can be tough, but you just have to keep in mind the reward, which is the band. I am not sure how long you have been on it, but after the first three days, I found it got easier.

I'm to be banded on March 4 so I'm doing the preop diet too. I found if I remember to eat at regular intervals(six times a day) and drink alot between I'm not as nearly hungry. I'm having trouble with gas pains. I think it is from all the dairy. I'm going to try lactaid tomorrow.
