Kat817 19 Posted February 23, 2008 Hi Angie, at this point my advice would be to read as much as possible, be extremely well prepared! Do TONS of research, know what you are looking at, and what questions to ask! Check out your Dr. and the hospital----just BE PREPARED! I don't mean that, like it is a hard thing---but it does take work, and commitment to getting healthy! This is a great site to get some wonderful information!!! Welcome! carroll08 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Hi! I have my consult planned on March 12th and I also weigh right in your bracket (203). I'm going stir crazy waiting for my appointment date to get here. I have read and studied so much... now its just to get on with it!! My insurance will not cover this surgery so its all on me but I really think its so worth it. Did any of you have trouble getting approved? Someone told me that they want you to be at least 100lbs overweight to even have the surgery??? I will be crushed if I dont get approved.
