TerMur 0 Posted February 23, 2008 I have posted before but I wanted to let everyone know what was going on. I am due to be banded on Tuesday. Yesterday(Friday) The insurance said they denied me because of my weight. I weighed 206 when I went in for my first visit and was required to lose 10 pounds. When I did that I feel below the 35 BMI so I didn't qualify anymore. I was so mad that I had gone through 6 months of testing and did everything they wanted and then I didn't qualify because I had followed their requirements. Well anywyas the doctor had a talk with my insurance MVP and they changed their minds and aproved it again. The insurance company is required to go by your starting weight. Now I am a little nervous again. Can anyone tell me what they had on hand to eat when they came home from the hospital. I want to be prepared Thanks everyone Terry

Elisabethsew 50 Posted February 24, 2008 Welcome and congratulations on the upcoming surgery. You'll be on Clear Liquids post-op but won't feel much like eating so don't worry. The staff will supply you with an info packet of post-op instructions. Make sure you walk, walk, walk post-op to help ease the effects of the anesthesia. I had no problems with the gas people complain about because I followed the post-op rules and kept moving. Let us know how the surgery goes for the both of you.
