nthomas 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Can you believe it when the weekend is over we will all be ready and we all know how fast weekends goes by!! Anybody having any dreams. I had a couple last night, just of how recovery might be. I have read too many blogs I think about different pain. One thing I did find helpful was about people talking about sleeping in a recliner, well that is definatly not for me so I ahve been sleeping on my back to get use to it. If you are not use to sleeping on your back try this. I put a large pillow directly under knees. It elevates my legs and I feel more comfortable. Most importantly, I stay in that position. Good LUCk to everyone, I have to be at the Drs office at 615 am so I getting excited, but nervous all at the same time.
gages62 0 Posted March 14, 2008 I'm with you all - finally light at the end of the tunnel. I'm to report at 9 a.m. and was told to expect to spend the night. Bummer - was hoping to go home the same day. I work with cardiologists (secretary) at the hospital where I'm having surgery (Hershey Medical Center), I can just envision the group coming up to see how I'm doing - just how I want them to remember me - bedhead, no makeup etc. :-) Anyone else tempted to sleep through the weekend to get to Monday quicker? My apologies to Nestle - if I never seen another packet of Carnation sugar free Instant Breakfast it will be too soon! Best wishes to all 3/17/08 Shrinking Shamrocks - you'll be in my thoughts - hope everyone has an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.
Sweet_pea_2 0 Posted March 14, 2008 I can't wait until Monday! I have to report to the hospital here in Shreveport, Louisiana bright and early at 5:30 AM. Dr. William Norwood is my awesome surgeon. Since I didn't have a pre-op diet to follow I will enjoy "the last supper" tomorrow night. (Sat.) with my family before being on Clear liquids all day on Sunday. I wish all of you St. Patties Day bandsters the best of luck. Janet:party::angry_smile:

SpecialK 22 Posted March 14, 2008 Me too. Had my surgeon appt today and he's all smiles and ready to roll on St. Patricks Day with me. He was real glad I'd lost about 8 lbs in these 2 weeks. I'm going to have a nice steak dinner out tonight with a friend and then be good and reasonable with eating Saturday and Sunday.
UniqueZeke 0 Posted March 14, 2008 It sounds like we're all down for the count. I'm being banded on Monday in Beloit, Wisconsin. I know there are two others that day from here so I'm not alone =) I'm not looking forward to the weekend, it's harder to stay focused on the liquid diet when I'm at home. While I'm at work, it's a breeze! Good luck to all of you!!!

Jessyca 0 Posted March 15, 2008 Yes, the excitement is building! Today is my husband's birthday, so I think we'll go out for a nice steak dinner. I did not have to do a pre-op diet, but I wish I had. I think I gained 5 pounds this week with the mentality, "it's my last...". I have to report at 8:30am on Monday at Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. They too want to keep me overnight. I am so glad since I have an 8 month old, 4 and 6 year old. There is no rest here. I also have grand dreams of turning into Martha Stewart over the weekend, cleaning and organizing my whole house. The hours are ticking by and it's probably not gonna happen. Now, if I can only get the laundry done and the house vacuumed, we'll be okay.
