bjkgriffith 1 Posted September 4, 2003 Hi, yesterday I went to a University hospital for a treatment for Meniere's Disease. This treatment requires me to lay on my stomach on what looks like a Dentist's chair while I have an object connected to my head............Anyways while I was on my stomach, I felt something "pinch" where my port is and since then my port area has been very sore. Has anyone ever pinched their port and do you think that I should get checked under flouro next Wednesday when I go for my first fill? Thanks, Barb:confused:
JC_GODOLPHINS 0 Posted September 4, 2003 I personally haven't had it as I am only 6 days post op. WHat I can say is that you are already going for a fill next week, might as well and get it checked while you are there, don't you think?
Kiera 2 Posted September 4, 2003 This is probably a question best answered by your doctor. I can tell you that there have been a couple times where I have done lots of bending and streching (vacuming & waxing a wood floor and my hands and knees for example) where my side was a little sore. I have basically been going by the philosophy that unless it hurts equiv to a mildly sprained ankle I figure it's ok. My doctor told me that I should call him if any of following occurred: * there is unaccounted for pain (small aches are ok) * A fever * Inability to eat anything without tossing * Any hardness in my stomach area I hope that helps. If you are really worried you should just call the doctor's office.
alicia 0 Posted September 4, 2003 bjkgriffith, that's kind of what I described in this post: http://lapbandtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=494 I am feeling great today. As if nothing happened. I suggest waiting to see if the pinch subsides if you can tolerate it.
