What is your Fill Level in a 10 cc AP Band?

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone else out there that has a small amount of cc's or no cc's in their band? I would love to hear from you.

I have only had my band since 2/15 - 4 weeks. I went in for my first fill today and they placed .5cc. Apparently they had already put in 3.6cc during surgery. Was I still feeling restriction pre fill - not really but I'm so concerned that I will pb or slime that I seriously watch what and how I eat. I have not been hungry between meals and eat about 4 oz of Protein and veggies each time. I barely get in 800-900 calories a day but my Protein averages 60grams. I try to avoid all carbs but the green ones. It was my choice on how much they would add today. I decided to take it a little slow. As long as I continue to lose 1-2 lbs a week I will be happy. Too much too fast will only cause hanging skin and I really don't want to have another surgery to remove that.

....and that solves the mystery. how are ya doing shortgal...close? i'm not doing too bad - will take my next fill in another wk though:)

At my last fill, I asked for a very small one becasue the meal the night before filled me fairly quickly, even thought the meals before that weren't.

I should have taken what fill I thought I needed before that meal, because I'm still able to eat too much ( although I refrain and never go over 1200 calories). I must be getting close tho' and do not want to be overtight, so I have asked for conservative amounts. Next fill appt is 3/20, I want at least .5 cc's which will bring me to approx 7.75cc's.

Weight loss is slowing down, so I hope some additional restriction will help that. I do not feel a sensation of being full long enough. I am constantly watching the clock, to see when the next meal is!

Referring to the other thread, it says the fill maximum is 4 CC in a 10 CM band, so maybe that is the solution to the mystery, a 10 CM band, not a 10 CC band. ( I don't know a thing about this cm, cc stuff, though)

I could swear I read an article somewhere that the most your surgeon should decrease the stoma size to in a 10cc band is 4mm. Could this be part of the confusion?

My APS band was placed with .5 cc's and my first and only fill was 2cc's.

I have no restriction but I also have no complaints about my progress.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
