Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am sadly dissapointed to find out that my favorite diet beverage has been discontinued :) due to lack of consumer interest. I called Lipton and that is what they told me. My question is, can anyone recommed a good tasting diet peach tea? Thanks all!!!

Try the Snapple Diet Peach Tea. It's my favorite. Not only does it help fulfill my liquid requirements, but I find it really fills me up.

I second on the Snapple Diet Peach Iced Tea. Yummy.

I try to catch it on sale though because it's a bit expensive.

Thank you for your replies. I was thinking of Snapple also. Has anyone tried the Lipton Diet Peach tea mix? Does it taste the same as the ready to drink diet peach tea? I don't think that they discontinued the mix, just the ready to drink. But I will definately try the Snapple. :)

Ohh I see.

Well, I have used instant lipton most of my life and I give it 2 thumbs up. IMO (and perhaps this is aquired??) I like the instant much much better than home brewing, or bottled.

Same with Crystal Light, I tried their pre-made pink lemonade and it was DISGUSTING. But I've always liked the powder mix.

I have not tried the peach, but I can vouch for their normal powder :tongue2:

Snapple is good though, I've always liked snapple. Never had diet though.

Have you tried Lipton's diet green tea with mixed berry? YUMMY! Even my skinny little size 2 sister drinks it because it tastes so good. And green tea is very good for you, too. Oh, and Snapple peach is very good, but so is the raspberry. I can never find the raspberry by itself. It comes in the mixed flavor case.

I'm not really a tea fan and I STILL like Snapple's Diet Peach Tea.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
