kacee 3 Posted February 23, 2008 If you REACT to getting a B-12 shot...then you needed one. If you don't react...it won't help much. I've heard of people who have been anemic or run down and when they had a B-12 shot it was like a direct bee-line of adrenaline into their system. They did everything but fly around the room. I've had them before (just very tiny doses each morning) when I went to a diet doctor back in the 70's. I had small shots each morning before work and I noticed a marked increase in stamina, well-being, and I was on a 600 calorie diet at the time (yeah, those were the days) for 5 months and never got sick or felt bad once. Kat817 19 Posted February 23, 2008 Another thing--and it will sound minor, but will make a big difference---get outside---and breath!!! If you are already feeling fatigued, don't go out trying to "work out" but go out, and take a walk, breath in some fresh air, get your blood moving a bit!!! It helps you feel more alert----wakes up your brain!!! Kat

I tell you I think it was the stress of work...I got sick like a week after my surgery and I was trying to keep on working...I think all that just ran me down...I feel much better now...I will mention it to my dr when I go though....see if he thinks it anything to be concerned about esp if I start feeling bad again!!!! 4jin 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Kanigag I felt great! It was like an instant burst of energy back in me. I have continued with the sublingual and that has helped keep the energy up.

dabragg 0 Posted February 25, 2008 A great picker-upper; or some trail mix that has nuts, raisins and maybe some M&M's.
whitakert 0 Posted February 26, 2008 I give myself the B-12 shot once a week. But the 5-hour shot liquid is a good boost during the day. M
GreekO 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Isopure 20oz of fruit flavored drink (not too bad either) and 40mg of Protein - REALLY helps when you have the sinking feeling. best of luck !!!
Brandy~ 2 Posted February 27, 2008 My doctor suggested sublingual B-12 500 mcg daily or 1000 mcg two or three times a week. I am also supposed to take B-1 for the first month after surgery. That plus 60 grams of Protein should have you energized. Also make sure you are staying hydrated. My doctor recommended the same thing.... I just sat through their post op diet classes since i am not banded yet so I remember this being stressed for energy.
