:eek:What happens when you get the stomach flu and need to vomit? I know that was a gross question but I am wondering how things work after being banded. Is it going to be damaging to the band?

I think most surgeons advise seeking an anti-emitic. You get get them OTC but rx is also available. Perhaps call your surgeon and see what their practice is with this.

Vomiting *can* post a potential risk to the band.

I was told by my doctor that if I vomit more than once I should call her. They can give you something to stop vomiting because it is dangerous to vomit with the band - it can cause slippage.
