Fast Food List?

Recommended Posts

So I just started eating reagular food after 3 weeks on Clear Liquids. I ate a hard boiled egg and some tuna went down fine. Now for dinner I ate wendy's chilli and some manderine oranges, no problem so far. I am wondering if that food is acceptable or not and if it will slow down my weight lose.

I love Wendy's chili! I don't think it is dentrimental to weight loss. Just make sure you stick to the small and not the large and you should be fine! I also like the salads at Wendy's too with lite dressing. :hungry:

Sounds inviting, but one thing I have learned in all this so far. Is that there is NO FAST food ever again. Thats what got us all here that we needed to have the band, Learn to just say NO. Step on the gas when you come up to a fast food joint, Dont buy those girl scout Cookies and stay away from the ice cream...............................

I tried Md's burger a few weeks ago. Ordered it and landed up giving it to my dh because the grease pouring out of it made me want to puke! So I went inside and orderd a sunday...yummy...I got the urge again the other day for MD's and saw the image in my head of all that grease, we went to Bixx pizza instead. Had 1 slice of thier chicken pizza it was yummy and just enough.

I love chick-fila broiled chicken sandwich. I have had it about 3 times in 8 months. It i very good and super satisfing.

The only other FF I've done is the famous Wendy's chili.

And yes cherg-you are doing good!

I just re-read my post from months ago. What a change. I am now filled with 3.5 ccs. I do still eat chicken nuggets but rarely fries and even more rare is burgers. I can do homemade meatload but i fill it with so many Condiments and onions that it is very moist! I have had pizza with the very thin crust but have eaten it like 4 times in 12 months.

I think the coolest thing about being banded is I became more willing to try other foods. One of my fave on the road things is hummus with fresh veggies...you can get it at any middle eastern resturant.

chicken satay from thai places

del taco has really tender chicken

wendy's chilli with a plain baked potato...put the chilli on the potato. yum

when i am on the road i try to take things with me mostly. a coller with things for lettuce wraps, popcorn, fruit and all other good portables.

I have come to the conclusion that fast food isn't really "food" but rather processed "food-like" substances that have been separated and then bound back together with some kind of polymer. I can eat nearly every food in the world... except fast food. I PB every time I try since my second fill. I used to eat fast food a minimum of 5 times a week, my favorite being McDonald's cheeseburgers and fries. Now, there's no way that stuff is going down. Being stuck and PB'ing every time I've tried fast food while being able to eat every other food under the sun (except sushi rice and scrambled eggs) has convinced me that something funky is going on with fast food. I guess if I had to eat it because I had no other choice, I would get a salad.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
